Twelfth Night

“If music be the fruit of love, play on”

Everyone knows this quote said by Orsino in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. The play starts and ends with music…even Shakespeare knew the power of music. Music really is the fruit of love, especially love of God. I really like this quote. I think it captures the essence of music, and very simply. We should really think of this quote when we hear music. It will help us appreciate its power much more.
